Yes, some of you will be sleeping in the woods. Still, this is not a thoroughly rugged affair– there will be indoor restrooms, hot tubs, even a dry sauna. Check out the lists below for our two cents on what to bring and what to leave at home.

Note about food: We suggest bringing or stopping on your way in for Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast and lunch. Each lodging has a nice kitchen and fridge, and the nearest grocery is 25 minutes’ drive. Friday night fare will be small wood-fired pizzas, s’mores, and drinks, and we’ll provide a few small snacks in the cabins for Saturday morning, but we want to be sure that you are prepared!

BRING:

  • Swim suit/trunks
  • Beach towel
  • Sunscreen and bug spray (just in case)
  • Fishing gear
  • Food (see note above)
  • Headlamp or flashlight if you’re staying in the cabins or carriage houses (if you care for a walk through the woods)
  • Toiletries (no mini-sized shampoo in the cabins)
  • Tent and supplies if you’re tenting
  • Attire of any level fanciness, from casual to the 9′s
  • Multiple layers of clothing– it may be hot and sunny during lawn games and chilly when the sun goes down.

LEAVE:

  • Blankets (unless you’re tenting)
  • High heels. Everything is on the grass, including dancing!
  • Pets (unless you are staying in a woodland cabin)
  • Pillows (unless you’re tenting)
  • Towels for showering (unless you’re tenting)
